I haven’t seen Jupiter Ascending. I’ve only seen its concept art. I’m guessing it’s a movie about “holy shit what is happening there are space things and what”.

For all I know, Sid Meier’s Starships is a fantastic iPad game (and yes, it’s also available on iPad). But I don’t know, because I’ve been playing it on PC, where it kinda sucks.

Cities: Skylines hasn’t even been out for a week and already the game’s selection of mods is becoming overwhelming. Some of these mods are great , and genuinely add worthwhile new content to the base experience! Most, however, seem to cater towards one thing: road porn.

“A war is coming to us whether we like it or not.” Last night at the South by Southwest Film Festival, director James Wan delivered a surprise, secret screening of Furious 7 at midnight, and the early buzz is that this is the best film in the franchise. And just in time, a new international trailer has surfaced showing off some new footage, from tender moments with Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster to an armored bus equipped with some big guns. Plus, there’s the footage we’ve all seen of Vin Diesel streaking across a couple skyscrapers in a sexy car and much more. We’ve only got a few more weeks to wait to see it! Watch! ›››

After premiering at the South by Southwest Film Festival, the comedy Get Hard starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart is coming to theaters in just under two weeks. And to help promote the film, the two co-stars got together on Funny or Die to talk about how great it was to finally work together. Why hadn’t they teamed up before? Well, their agents keep putting them up for the same roles, and now we get to see what films like Anchorman and Elf would have been like with Kevin Hart and what Ride Along would have been like with Will Ferrell. It’s pretty amusing, and hopefully their first collaboration will be too. Watch! ›››

After Gone Girl star Rosamund Pike, fresh off an Oscar nomination for her performance in the David Fincher film, joined Christian Bale in the forthcoming adaptation of John D. MacDonald’s novel The Deep Blue Good-by, two more supporting stars have come aboard as well. The Wrap reports “Game of Thrones” favorite Peter Dinklage will take a role in the film along with Nicola Peltz, who starred in Transformers: Age of Extinction. In the film, Bale is playing as Travis McGee, a self-described “salvage consultant” who recovers others’ property for a fee and along the way gets into trouble fighting bad guys and wooing women. ›››

Even though John Williams has been responsible for all of the scores for each film in the Star Wars saga (except for Star Wars: The Clone Wars), he’ll be sitting out for the Star Wars spin-offs it seems. Williams has already been confirmed to provide the score for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and presumably Episode VIII and Episode IX (though he’s getting up there in years, so time is of the essence). But when it comes to Star Wars: Rogue One, the first standalone adventure outside of the new trilogy, French radio program Radio Classique’s Culture Club (via Film Music Reporter) learned someone else will step up. ›››

On the week that Rockstar launched its Grand Theft Auto Online update, complete with new heist missions, Grand Theft Auto V has climbed again to the top of the all-format UK games chart.
The open-world crime opus has now recorded eight weeks atop the chart–just two weeks shy of the series’ all-time record, which was held by the PS2 title Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Dying Light, the zombie survival title that had enjoyed three weeks at the top, falls to second place ahead of FIFA 15 and Minecraft (Xbox editions). Meanwhile, DMC Definitive Edition, the remastered version of Capcom’s 2013 action adventure, enters at fifth spot. The other new entry, Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition, enters at tenth.
It is likely that the top ten will undergo further changes this week, with EA’s Battlefield Hardline release date falling on March 17.
The full top ten follows:

Electronic Arts’ cops-and-robbers-themed first-person shooter Battlefield Hardline launches for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this week. Players who have pre-ordered it on PC via Origin can download the game so that it’s ready to play when it unlocks on March 19.
Battlefield Hardline will launch with seven modes and nine maps. EA Access subscribers who pre-order the game on Xbox One will already be able to play Hardline’s prologue, first chapter, and multiplayer for up to 10 hours. Be warned though, the Xbox One version is a 45GB download.
As noted in our preview earlier this year, the game’s singleplayer campaign contains elements of stealth. Earlier this year developer Visceral Games revealed details on all of the game’s modes and multiplayer maps.
If you prefer fighting grander wars with a bit of fantastical themes thrown in, Square Enix’s role-playing game Final Fantasy Type-0 HD hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this week. As the title suggests, the game is a high-definition remake of 2011’s Final Fantasy Type-0, which never saw release outside of Japan. The RPG features fourteen playable characters and will be available on March 19. Fans who pre-order the Day One edition will also receive a digital download code for a playable demo of Final Fantasy XV, redeemable up until March 20. For more on the Type-0, check out our interview with director Hajime Tabata.
