A Bruce Wayne Batman meets an alternate-reality Batman who’s really his father Thomas Wayne. So much ripe potential in having these different Dark Knights meet up, right? Too bad the comic it happens in, Convergence #2, is terrible.

Think you know everything about Steven Spielberg’s style? Think again. We’ve already seen and posted a shot-by-shot analysis of Jaws before (view that one here), but this latest one breaks down and analyzes the filmmaking techniques Spielberg used in one particular scene in his shark thriller classic Jaws (released in 1975). Specifically, Julian Palmer takes a look at the early beach attack scene in Jaws, where the young boy gets eaten. It’s a detailed analysis (perhaps over-analysis) but includes very intelligent references that will allow anyone to understand how beautifully this scene is crafted, and just how talented Spielberg really is. There’s always more to learn about filmmaking techniques from films old and new, so always keep watching. ›››

In the original Star Wars trilogy, the battle was always between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. But after the events of Return of the Jedi, it looked like the Empire was finally defeated. However, as we’ve seen in the most recent trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, about 30 years after the second Death Star was destroyed, there are still remnants of the Empire, complete with new stormtroopers, including a bad ass chome stormtrooper with a cape, and a mysterious new villain named Kylo Ren. Well, thanks to an exhibit at Star Wars Celebration, we have information where the Rebels and the Empire stand. ›››

Fresh new late night host James Corden has only been at the reigns of “The Late Late Show” for a few weeks, but his schtick has already become clear. After reenacting the entire filmography of Tom Hanks in under eight minutes and also doing some Pretty in Pink lip syncing with Jon Cryer reprising his iconic role as Duckie, this time Corden had Michael Douglas on as a guest, which prompted the late night host to dress up in drag and perform the iconic interrogation scene from Basic Instinct. For all those squinting for nudity when Sharon Stone uncrossed her legs in the film, you’ll want the exact opposite this time. ›››

It’s no secret that we haven’t been impressed with what we’ve seen from Terminator: Genisys so far. Even with the most recent trailer revealing a big plot twist (watch the trailer right here), it all just seems desperate to shake up a franchise that seems to have peaked with Terminator 2: Judgment Day. And why is that? Well, a new video examines why this latest iteration of the Arnold Schwarzenegger action franchise may feel so stale and tired. Basically, it’s just a carbon copy of every other Terminator movie, and not just because of the obvious homages. You’ll what I mean after you check out this video. Watch below! ›››

There’s no doubt that yesterday’s second teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens really moved fans of the sci-fi saga, especially with that final shot featuring two of our favorite heroes. Social media was full of people overwhelmed with feelings and joy, and apparently so was Matthew McConaughey. A reaction video has surfaced showing McConaughey watching the teaser trailer for the first time, and it’s pretty clear that he’s a huge Star Wars fan. There’s plenty of people who got emotional, but McConaughey’s reaction is on another level. He even went so far as to watch the trailer from space. He’s just that dedicated. ›››

Bleep! Bloop! Bleep! Translation: come fly to Japan on my airplane! Holy crap this is… awesome? Yea, I’m going to say it is. One of the big reveals this week at Star Wars Celebration, along with the new trailer for The Force Awakens, is a brand new R2-D2-painted Boeing 787 commercial airplane. We’ve seen Smaug the Airplane, now it’s R2’s turn. The new aircraft will be part of All Nippon Airways fleet, based out of Japan, and it will be launching in fall 2015 (a bit closer to the release of The Force Awakens). The plane is being shown off in videos at their booth, but we found nice clean shots of it in flight. I’ll take a ticket, please. ›››

Back in 2013 we learned that Cast Away and Back to the Future director Robert Zemeckis was going to be at the helm of Marwencol, an adaptation of the documentary of the same name which played South by Southwest and won the Best Documentary award. At the time, Zemeckis was hoping to get Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role as Mark Hogancamp, a man who decides to build a a one-sixth scale model of a World War II-era town called Marwencol in his backyard. However, The Wrap reports it will be Steve Carell signing on for the lead role in the film written by Edward Scissorhands scribe Caroline Thompson. ›››
