Valve is one of the most well-known and respected developers around today, and their first game, Half-Life spawned one of gaming’s biggest franchises. When it hit the PC in 1998, Half-Life wowed critics and went on to become one of the most popular first person shooters ever released.
Please, Blizzard, please, give us this as an alternate option for Reaper’s ult in Overwatch. TwistedGrimTV reimagined the bane of your existence and mine with a bit less grimdark edge and a bit more fabulous flash. It really is raining men. Hallelujah.
The first post about Owlboy on evil-billionaire-proof Overwatch fansite Kotaku is from the year 2008. A certain Luke Plunkett tells me there are even older ones that didn’t survive a server change that same year. It’s now 2016, and the gorgeous adventure-platformer about a boy who is an owl (or perhaps the other way around) is finally about to come out.
8Bitdo, the company behind those Bluetooth SNES and NES controllers that let you play classic 8 and 16-bit games without annoying wires, is teasing this gorgeous wooden retro desktop arcade on its Facebook page, and at the Gamescom convention currently underway in Cologne, Germany.
In a 21st century world of free software, powerful computers, tablets and mice, making pixel art is fairly easy! In the 1980s, though, your favourite games had to be made on expensive and highly specialised equipment.
“You’ve opened up a door… And now no one is safe.” Paramount has released the first full trailer for Rings, the third film in the Ring series, originally a remake of the Japanese horror film. The second film was released back in 2005, three years after the first Ring hit theaters in 2002. This new one picks up 13 years after the first film and it’s just as creepy. The cast includes Laura Wiggins, Aimee Teegarden, Johnny Galecki, Lizzie Brocheré, Alex Roe, Zach Roerig, and Bonnie Morgan as Samara. This looks like another eerie entry in the horror series. The blind man giving her information is pretty cool, I just hope the rest of it is actually good. The plane sequence at the end is also cool, but I think that’s the opening scene. ›››
“I don’t really have a lot of friends…” “I don’t either.” The Orchard has released a trailer for the award-winning indie drama Miss Stevens, which premiered at SXSW this year and won Best Actress. Lily Rabe stars as a high school English teacher who chaperones three of her students on a weekend trip to a drama competition, and things get pretty interesting. The cast includes Rob Huebel, Oscar Nuñez, Timothée Chalamet and Lili Reinhart. From this trailer, this film definitely looks like a quirky gem worth seeking out, with some vital wisdom for adults as well as teens. I’m curious about it. Worth taking a look at below. ›››
“You can transform people… That’s very powerful.” Broad Green Pictures + Amazon Studios have released an official US trailer for Jocelyn Moorhouse’s The Dressmaker, starring Kate Winslet as a “glamorous woman” who returns to her small hometown in rural Australia. We actually featured the first trailer for this film over a year ago, last summer, since it was released in Australia back then. It’s just now getting a US release this fall, for anyone still interested in giving it a look. Liam Hemsworth also stars as the young guy she falls for in town, with a cast including Judy Davis, Hugo Weaving, Caroline Goodall, Shane Bourne and Kerry Fox. This almost seems like a dusty, down under version of The Devil Wears Prada. ›››

You can pick up the demo right now using these download links: PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360. The full game launches on September 13, which is two weeks before rival game FIFA 17 comes out on September 27.
According to PlayStation Universe, a demo for FIFA 17 will come out in early September, featuring teams like Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich. It will also apparently include stadiums like Stamford Bridge and Centurylink Field.
As explained on the PES website, the team rosters for the PES 2017 demo are based “primarily” from May 2016 data. Additionally, some players in the demo might not be on the team roster for the full, retail version “due to licensing.” The site also mentions a 10,000GP bonus for playing the demo.
