“My life. Isabel, my love. Every day we spend together…” Studiocanal UK has debuted the first trailer for Blue Valentine director Derek Cianfrance’s latest film, The Light Between Oceans, starring Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander. Set in Australia in the years following WWI, the film is about a couple that rescues a small baby that washes ashore, raising her as their own. It’s desribed as a “beautiful yet heart-breaking story of love and sacrifice”, based on the book by M.L Stedman. The cast includes Rachel Weisz, Benedict Hardie and Emily Barclay, produced by David Heyman. This looks truly wonderful, everything I was expecting it to be.
