“This is how it happens, isn’t it, Pete?” Just a few weeks ago, The Academy revealed the full list of nominees for the 2016 Academy Awards. This year there were eight films nominated for Best Picture, including two science fiction features, a Steven Spielberg movie, an expose on the 2008 financial collapse, and a couple of very powerful dramas. This video, made by Jacob T. Swinney, is just a recap of this year’s nominations with clips edited to some good music. It even includes a David Bowie track, the same one from The Martian.
