Hot on the heels of the success of Cinderella, it’s time for the House of Mouse to turn another one of their animated hits into a live-action film. THR reports Disney is now developing a live-action retelling of Mulan, the Chinese legend about a female warrior who disguises herself as a man in order to go to war in place of her father. Writing duo Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek (in their first feature film deal) have been hired to script the first pass at the project, but there will likely be a rewrite by another more established scribe before it goes in front of cameras.
