'Community' Director Rob Schrab Taking Over 'The LEGO Movie 2'

There’s been a change in directors for the developing sequel to last year’s animated hit The LEGO Movie. Nearly a year ago, Chris McKay, who essentially co-directed the original with Phil Lord & Chris Miller, was hired to be at the helm of The LEGO Movie 2. But since then, Warner Bros. Pictures has done some shuffling. Previously, the sequel was dated for May 26th, 2017, but that’s when the LEGO Batman spin-off (which will now be directed by McKay instead) will arrive, which means The LEGO Movie 2 will now arrive on May 25th, 2018. And following the release date change last fall, THR reports “Community” and “The Mindy Project” director Rob Schrab will now be at the helm of the animated film for his feature debut. ›››
