SEGA 32X
Currently out of Stock

Another add on for the Sega Genesis.  Over
400,000 of these systems were sold.
Doom was probably the best game on the
system.  This system was by far the
cheapest leap into the 32 bit generation.

I think that doom was the best game out of all the 32x games. This verison was even better than on the computer.

I purchased my 32x when i was about 13 or so and i paid 150 for the upgrade.years went by and i realized that my baby was missing.come to find out my brother had pawned it.so about 3 or4 months ago my friend who works at a gamestop found one for me.i was stoked when i got it back because my friend also got me mortal kombat 2 in the original box and manual.so far my library of 32x games is crappy, all i have so far is mk2 and virtua fighter, but as long as i breath,I WILL ALWAYS BE TRUE TO MY SEGA AND THE FANS WHO MADE SEGA GREAT.

MAJOR AWESOME PROS:  This system is a cute little speed bump that sits on top of your genesis and gives you some of Sega's funnest nostalgic polygon classics.  If a 32X and Saturn were sitted next to each other, you may never guess which Virtua Fighter version you were playing.  Great 32X game!  Plus, some gamers are fans of FMV games from the beginnings of SEGA CD (we do exist.  And we are many.)  And 32X takes some of the bad looking ones on SEGA CD and cleans em' up.
And of course, Shadow Squadron is one truly clever and incredible looking game for this system with such great innovation and replay value.  Even looks better than some N64 games in my opinion.

MAJOR DOWNFALLING CONS:  Ok, I gave this system it's good points.  Now the awful truth.  It was kinda (kiiiiiinda!) worth the price of it when it came out.  I mean c'mon.  Sure it was.  At a time when Starfox for SNES was making that system spin in some impressive looking circles, SEGA went and made an answer to that polygon pumping title, sadly making you have to buy an expensive add-on.  But it didn't spit out enough holiness.  Sega fell into their old habits and started just translating Genesis titles onto this 32-bitter and they looked and played JUST THE SAME!!  When I first heard of this system, I imagined how awesome it would be how wherever I saw a genesis, whether at a friends house, at my youth group, at work, etc. I could stick in this thing and we'd have some great 32bit gaming in store for us.  But once this thing is in your genesis, that's where it's staying.  If I want this thing in any genesis, you gotta move everything and plug in an extra ac-adapter, put in these fragile little electroplates that after a while of removing and inserting just get bent out of shape and make the thing stop working correctly when you flip it on.  It's a whole new system that you have to invest in that just doesn't deliver enough fun.  And one more thing that when you think about it, is just sad and lauuuuuuuuuuuuuughable.  Sega thought,....heehee......that people would buy a $99 genesis....heeheehee.......and $79 Sega CD.......(ffffftt!).....and $159 32X system.....MMMFFT!......JUST TO GET A BETTER LOOKING NIGHT TRAP!!!!!!!!!!   YEAH, RRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!

WHEN YOU BUY ONE, THIS IS REALITY IN A NUT-SHELL:  The 32X was an expensive add-on that gave your genesis the doorway to play a few great 32-bit games, and a bunch of recycled genesis games with a load of 32X crap.

BUT TODAY,...:  The 32X is a fun collectable strictly because it has some titles only released for itself that make it worth buying (as long as it's cheap), and it makes you appreciate it's graphics because, well....it's a genesis!  What the hell, go find one.  But make sure it's brand new.  You need brand new electroplates and once you hook it up, you should never remove it again.  For the thing to last, it has to have eternal sex with that genesis system.

I've never played the 32X, but I hear it's good.  I'm saving up to buy one from this site.  I hope I like it as much as
Daniel does.

Squadron,Virtua Racing Deluxe,Kolurbri,Virtua Fighter,Moto Cross,NFL QB Club,Starwars
Arcade,36 great holes,Metal Head, and Knuckles Chaotix. i probably have one or two that
i forgot about. i'm trying to get as many games as i can before they become to rare i see
that this site has a few that i don't have so i'll eventually be getting those. i used to have
BC Racers but for some stupid reason i got rid of it now i'll most likely never see it again.
32x is my favorite system and i will never even think of getting rid of it or any of the
games again!

The games on 32x were by far the best 32 bit games i had ever seen. games like mortal kombat
2 were a vast improvement on both the genesis and super nintendo versions. sound quality as well
as a graphical upgrade were very much visable. when combined with the sega cd, the 32x became
a reasonably high powered 32 bit cd based gaming system. the 32 x had a relativly small gaming
library though. a good reason being that sony playstation was not far from being released at the
time of the 32x's reign. though it had a small library many of its games were a blast to play. one
of the most interesting and fun games ever produced by sega was star wars arcade, a great arcade
port of the original. it was one of the first polygonal based games out there, never mind being a free
roaming 3d fighter sim. it had superior graphical detail to that of the 16 bit systems as well as clear
and distint voice representations of darth vader and admiral ackbar, to name a couple. i suggest if
you allready have a genesis system, that you pick up a 32x as well as these entertaining titles:
star wars arcade
fred couples golf
kolbri
mortal kombat 2
virtua fighter ( i paid $80 for this game when it was first released and i lved every aspect of the game)
doom (an absolutely must have for the 32x. though there were only 15 or so levels, and a lot of the
enemies were absent, for a perephial system, it was great!)

Jee Wizz, I love this thing!  I got mine about 2 months ago, along with Virtua Fighter, Star Wars Arcade,
Virtua Racing, and Doom.  This is awesome.  This had so much potential, and no one tapped into in.
Probably the two best games are Virtua Fighter and Virtua Racing.  They really pushed the system
with their polygons, and yet so much fun to play.  Sega 32x kicks serious ass!
