little bit of role playing added in. Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland takes
the series in a new direction, by offering a deeper and more robust
role-playing experience. It might be best described as a 'Life Simulation'.

The object of Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland is to successfully save the
village from being turned into a resort. Construction begins in a year, so you
must find a way to save your homeland before that. Unlike previous Harvest
Moon titles, Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland will offer nine unique ways
in which to complete your task. Thus offering nine different endings to the
game! 

Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland focuses more attention on relationships
than that of making money. Befriending the people in town is the key to
successfully completing your task. There are over 100 different
heartwarming events, each one leading to the next. 
This is the first Harvest Moon title to be in a true 3-D environment. It looks
much more realistic, yet it will not lose the cute animation aspect that all
Harvest Moon titles are known for.

* 20 New characters each with their own unique personalities. 

* Explore a 3-Dimensional environment rich in detail. 

* 9 Unique endings to the game. 

* More interaction with your animals, such as training your dog and racing your horse.

To get a horse you must first earn the Farmer's Shop owner's trust by working for him.ALso,instead of paying 300G for a chicken,go to the Supermarket and buy an egg for 50G.Then take it home and put it in the incubater.In three days, youll have yourself a little chick running around.To get a dog,each day when you wake up,keep putting food in the dog bowl.after a few days a dog will come around and you have to chase it until it will let you pick it up.If it doesnt let you pick it up keep putting food in the bowl until you can.

You can get a job anytime at Bob's farming stuff.. and to get you cows out you have to walk against them for a while.. this causes your guy to start to push them.. so do this until you manage to push them out side

to pick the horse of your choice,first you need to talk to bob(lives at the brownie farm) about part time jobs. then when you start work, always talk to your favorite horse first every day you work. then after a while, bob will come and give you the horse you have talked to first. then you can race the horse against Gwen(the carpenter's granddaughter). She is very had to beat. you will need to love your horse a lot to get it to run in the first place. then she will challange you. after that, go to bob's store and have your horse take the time attack. then see if you can run around the track in less than 52 seconds.

To get your cows outside you have to clear your items so your not holding anything. Then you stand behind your cow andkeep pressing the square button, you have to then walk forwards and push them twords the door.
