I am renting this game right now and the game is great.  I have played the other game and it stunk compared to this new version.  The gangs is a great touch to the game.  I also like the factor that the police are more intense in the game and will give you a tough get-away.  Another factor that is good, was the fact that you don't die after one shot, like the old game.  The gangs make the game truly all the more better.  The fact that if cops are chasing you and you are liked by a gang, the gang will start shooting at the police.  Gangs that hate you, will shoot at you if you come in there territory.  If you thought the first was good rent or buy the second one because you will be impressed by what you see.
