Anthology is sure to be an instant collector's item.

What was so bad about ffVII? i thought it was a really good game and it was a big improvement from ffVI, it's not that
i don't like it, but i think ffVII's plot was a lot better.  by the way, in ffVI, how do u kill wrexsoul?? i've been trying to kill
it for an hour now!!!! ok, i exaggerate. i've been trying to kill it for 59

minutes!!!

FF6 is one of the best rpgs of all time. It has two of the best characters that i have ever seen in Shadow and Kefka.
Shadow is simply a bad ass and Kefka is a true evil mastermind. I wish that Square would release ff4 in the US but
i can wait.

Well I was already a fan of ff6 before I played the anthologies, but the cinematic scenes really do make it worth
getting again. ff5 is cool too, but I'm stuck on a part where I gotta find a moogle or something'. Anyhow, the thing
that interests me most about the anthologies is in ff6. Shadow. There are so many rumors about that lad, and I don't
know what to believe anymore. Some say there are four dreams, some say five, some say seven! I even heard
somewhere that if you can get all the dreams, spoiler. Do not read on if you wish to enjoy shadow's part of the ending.
Skip a few lines or stop reading entirely.) shadow won't kill himself in the ending. Now I think that would be really cool,
but I also think it's bullshit...could someone confirm this or something'? Anyway, it's obvious to most that Shadow is,
(spoiler again. Sorry. Skip a few lines or just stop.) Relm's father. Anyway, I would really like to know more about this,
and if anyone knows something that I don't, please post it here or something' so I can read it. Now enough about
Shadow, what's the deal with Gogo? Is there a reason for his mysterious nature? Or is he just a no-good, copycatin'
nobody? If had idea's, but I'll bet they're all dumb anyway. I was thinking' maybe it was relm's mother, (spoiler) Shadow's
wife, but then I got to thinking' and I realized that wasn't likely. The momento ring can be used by both relm and shadow.
It represents the love of a dead mother, and I believe that relm's mother died and that's why she had it, and why shadow
can use it. or maybe we're meant to think that, and she never died, just made it seem that way. That's why Gogo is so
mysterious that I can't even tell for sure whether it's a man or a woman. Far fetch eh? That's what I think too. Oh well,
it's always fun to make up bullshit like that anyway. anyway, it's a great game and if you ever have an insight about a
character like shadow or gogo, or anyone else, let me know and I'll either find out the truth, or make up an entertaining
story to cover up. By the way, don't you think Terra and general Leo should have been together? That wouldn't been
nice. hee hee...right on the boat deck where they have that nice little chat. I still think kefka should'a been harder. If
your still reading at this point and haven't been overcome by boredom, I must say you have an incredible attention
span and great patience, and I would like to thank you for reading my jabber...farewell friends.

Tips and tricks for ff6:
-gogo has many more skills other than mimic(go to the status screen and move the cursor to choose his commands)
-getting alexander and all cyans' skills(sleep in doma with cyan in your party to embark on a sub-adventure...
alexander in throne room, you learn all the swd techniques when you kill wrex soul0
-in odins' castle(ancient castle under figaro), step down 5 and right once, then press and you should hear a
sound(from the left seat you go down 5 and left/right 1, i can't quite remember). go to the room on the right and
there should be a staircase. there is a dragon down there and a statue tha turns odin to raiden.
-slaying all 8 dragons gives you the esper, crusader. dragons are in:
-narshe
-phoenix cave
-fanatics' tower
-2 in kefkas' tower
-ancient castle(staircase to statue)
-mt zozo
-opera house
-steal from dragons on floating continents to get genji gloves
-steal an atma weapon from goddess in kefka's tower(one person must have it equipped when fighting her)
-buy the esper zoneseek in the world of ruin for a much better bargain(i believe you get it for 500 gp in wor and
5000 gp in wob).
-there's a moogle charm behind mog when you get him in the wor(a relic that allows no random encounters).
-hidon is the only monster you can learn the lore"grand train from", a power lore. beat all the little hidons which
cause him to do grand train.
-beat brachosaur easily, simply have relm control it(you must have relic "fake mustache" to get the command
"control", found in the cave where you find gogo).

First Game To Anthology. What I Love About FINAL FANTASY GAMES IS THAT
you find Characters the you love, you hate, and the story is unbeleveable
you feel like you live in the FINAL FANTASY world . The Reason The Games Are so
Excellent is because they know what you want they bring out every bit of
Fantasy and i love all the games i have tried every rumour and they don't work

I think its cool how there are remastering FFV & FFVI. I haven't beeten FFVI or FFV butit brigs back memories
from the snes days. who cares about graphics when you have a true role playing game unlike some others that
were to easy. FFVII & FFVIII might have better graghics but there not even close to being as much fun as FFVI
(my favorite).
on my scale Final Fantasy Anthology rates a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale

I commend SquareSoft for finally releasing Final Fantasy Five in the US. What I really think is a lame
excuse for sucking as much money from the public is including Final Fantasy Three. I am not argueing
that FF3 is a bad game. Actually I think it is the best of the series, like many others. What I am saying is
that it costs Square next to nothing to include Final Fantasy Three in the Anthology collection, yet they
charge us about $15 for it? What SquareSoft could have and should have done is sold Final Fantasy 5 on
the PSX with the music CD and charged something like $24.99. I know that many people would have happily
not paid the extra $15 dollars.
Now lets say that SquareSoft did do the ABSOLUTE worst and make us all fork out cash for a game that
we already own. Well, at least we get an added bonus section, and BADASS CGI sequinces. Oh, wait a
minute, I have to play through a fifty hour game before I can even see most of them more than once. Come
on folks, the LEAST SquareSoft could have done is made the bonus section accessable from the beggining
of the game.
But hey, other than that, I'm glad that I have a brand-new Final Fantasy Game to add to my library.
Well, feel free to E-mail me at the adress above.

Talk to you all later,

In FF5 to get the original Dawn Warriors to join you follow these simple directions:
1. Bite the honky cat with the moka do reo.
2. Snozal the doctile mistala cream with Hokroe's semen.
3. The final step is to fondle the elf's cookies while flying the dog.

Easy Money and Experience-FFV
A good way to get experience + cash in the first world is as follows:
1. Have a ninja in your party.
2. Buy at least 20 lightning skills at Rikks (this means you must have the black
chocobo or the airship to do this)
3. Go to the Eastern Village, where you find Ramuh.
4. Run around on the grass and plains (not forest-Mythril Dragons suck) and fight Black Flames and Stone
Golems

Any type of Skill (lightning, water, etc.) will kill all of the Black Flames,
but only a lightning skill can instantly kill the Stone Golems. Normally, doing this, you will run into 5 Black
Flames at a time. This fight will net you almost
900 GP, over 300 ex. and 3 JP. Another battle is against 2 Black Flames and a Stone Golem. This will net
you about 500 GP, 200+ ex., and 2 JP. Either way, after you've used all of the skills up, you'll have a GREAT
DEAL MORE CASH THAN YOU STARTED WITH. You will also have gone up a few levels.

This is a Final Fantasy V tip:

Do you want to get the last job "MIME" ?

How? Well you have to wait until you make it to world
three.  Once you have gotten that far, you might remember
that in world one there was a tower called Walse tower that
sunk.  It still exists in world three but underwater.  You
must have the converted Tri-Phibian airship (you know the
one that turns into the sub).  Find the tower, it's one of
the white dots that appears in the map underwater (press
the "square []" button) and run into it.  You will be able
to enter the tower and go from the top to the bottom of it.
At the bottom you will meet a monster called Gogo (here is
where that character comes from FF III/VIj fans!).  When
fight him listen to what he tells you, to beat him you must
emulate his actions.  Therefore if he does nothing, you do
nothing just choose a non-attack like DEF. or !GUARD. When
you win you will get the last crystal shard for the "MIME"
job! It needs 999ABP to level up, so prepare to work to
     master it.

Final Fantasy Anthology Review.              By: The FF Paladin

Now available Final Fantasy Anthology newly released by square,
PlayStation gamers can now enjoy not only FF VI
(III snes) but the previously unreleased FF V too!

    Final Fantasy VI/III(usa):
While the game is a little lacking with its Mode 7 graphics
as compared to it's more graphically intense and newer
3D rendered companions FF VII and FF VIII, Final
Fantasy III is still a challenging and entertaining
game for any serious Final Fantasy fan.  The coolest
feature of this re-release is the CG Cinemas that are like
those seen in FF VIII, and the bonus room feature.  In the
bonus room you can view CG Cinemas, See a complete
Bestairy with stats, drops, and steals for every monster
and boss, an item conversion guide for the colloseum, and
a art clip gallery.  While saving and game loading takes
some time for the PlayStation I think that is a small
negative when compared to the entertainment one will get
    from playing this great title.

  Final Fantasy V:
Final Fantasy Five the secret square soft FF title is now
available for a limited time in the U.S. COOL!!!  This game
is a slight cross between Final Fantasy IV/II(usa) and
Final Fantasy VI/III(usa).  It has some mode 7 graphics as
those seen in Final Fantasy VI/III(usa).  FF V has a cool
music score that is much like the sounds heard in Secret
of Mana, which was released in the U.S. instead of Final
Fantasy V, presumably to get square into the minds of
Zelda fans.  If there is a good reason for Square to have
not released this game in the US.  That aside there is also
CG Cinema opener and closers to this game. The most unique
part of the game is the Job/Ability System.  In FF IV all
one had to do to get a character with abilities was to go
to Setzer's airship to and change parties.  In FF V the
Job system allowed you to customise the Five and only player
controlled characters in the game.  Which is cool because
you only had four statuses to worry about leveling up not
14 and you could mix and match characters, like a Knight
that can cast black magic etc..  I think that Final Fantasy
VII finally combined the two ideas by allowing the player
to access the different characters in the menu like the
job system but use different characters like the party
system using the PHS.  Overall this game is wonderfull with
a great story line and cool music and many player
customizable features.  The only drawbacks are the Save/Load
time is slow and to the PlayStation player the graphics will
seem primative and archaic. But I'm glad square released it
    here in the U.S.

  OVERALL

The anthology is very cool!!! Anyone with a PlayStation and
true Final Fantasy Love needs this for their collection.  The
only thing I would like to say is Why the H**L didn't
square release FINAL FANTASY FOUR in the USA Anthology like
it did in Japan!!!! That is the game that got me hooked on
FF and has arguably the best RPG story line EVER! I would
give an arm and a leg for an english version of the fully
translated FF IV on the playstation with it's CG Cinemas.
If you really want it, FF IV for PlayStation is sold
as a single but in Japanese on the Net.  But for now
we have a great Anthology and it even has a music CD so
get yours now because I hear that it is limited production!

I had just breezed through Final Fantasy 8, when I started to get nostalgic.  So I bought Anthology.  I
admit at first I was dissapointed, but then I started to really get into it.  i had already beaten FF6 when
it was on the Super Nintendo But FF5 was a different story. It took awhile to get used to how slow it
was, cosidering I was used to FF8.  However, the story and job classes made up for it.  Another thing
that I hated was the fact it seemed to take forever to build up your job classs.  Although by the time I
finished it my characters were so pimped out that I quickly changed my tune.  Now I'm gonna start FF6.
I'm hoping that they changed it around alittle just so that it will give me as much enjoyment as I got out
of FF5.  If not, oh well I got my moneys' worth out of FF5.  I my opinion Squaresoft struck pay dirt when
they decided to make Anthology.  It almost made me wish I still had my NES so I could play the original
Final Fantasy.  Maybe this will usher ina whole new series of Anthology games.  I know that I for one w
ould love to see Dragon Warrior or Zelda Anthology.

FF6 Lete River Trick

To do this trick you will need a turbo type controller.

After the meeting in the Returner Hideout you get on a raft on the Lete River.  Before you get on the raft
go to the config menu on the menu screen and set the cursor to memory and save.  Get on the raft and
when it asks you which way to go choose the wrong way, whenever you get in a battle have Sabin, Terra,
and Edgar use the Fight command, and have Banon use Health. Set the confirm button to automatic. Let
the game sit for a few days.  You now have charecters around levels 60-99. Happy gaming.

Warning!  This may cause the game to be very boring.

This game, is one of the greatest. Final Fantasy 5, one of the best, has the job system. This system is
simple to use and not hard to master. The characters all blend in and the story runs smoothly together to
make a great game. Final Fantasy VI, included, is no better or no worse. It is one of it's time also. It has
plenty of characters with wide ranging abilities to suit anyone. it has a great storyline involving love, it also
has some great action. It was one of my favorite. Together these two games put together makes a great
classic which people will come back to again and again.

This anthology is great.  I own FF6 (FF3) on Super Nintendo but I still played it on the Playstation.  FF5
is very fun if you can get past the 16-bit graphics.  I have been spoiled by FF7 and FF8 graphics but all
in all FF5 is a very good game.
I highly recommend buying this.  Actually you should buy this before FF7 or FF8 so you know how the
series progresses, ability wise.  All in all I give FF5 a 8 and I give ff6 a 10 (it's my favorites of the whole series).

Fight one, and just let it inhale your entire party.  (that's right, inhale them)  You'll end up inside a dungeon

This game includes FFVI The greatest final fantasy for 3 reasons. The plot and storyline are invigorating and
won't soon be forgotten.
2 Kefka is the only TRUE villain I've seen and because he was born evil he dies evil. That's what makes him
so great. Not like some good guy turned evil or vise vresa. Kefaka has no good intentions and he lets you know!!!
And 3 The music is definately memorable. The opening theme movie with the music is enough to knock you
into next tuesday. I would even go as far to say this game beats FFVIII because of those three reasons. I'll
take 16 bit graphics and a good story over FF8's pathetic story and great graphics any day.

it doesn't have that good of graphics but the story line beats all.  personally the FF6 story line is the best, but
then again FF8*** has the best graphics and a good story.  the anthology is totally worth buying.  you get two
classics for the price of one.

FFV

Graphics:3.5  This is a 16 bit game so i wouldn't think the graphics are the best.  However the CG's are great
and the baddies are pretty detailed

Control: 4.0  The controls are right on the nose and the easiness of surfing through the menu and combining
caracter classes is great

Sound: 4.5  The sound is a little rouch and you can tell its older technology but the music creates a sense of
discovery, suspense, and adventure.

Fun: 5.0: 4 words this game is adictave.

Overall: 5.0 a great game!

The Stupid Code King  StupidCodes@DownSyndrome.org  on Sunday, October 17, 1999 at 10:12:30
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a code for Final Fantasy VI; it lets you get a secret weapon called the WolfHead.  First off, when you get
into the World of Ruin, you have to save Cid (by feeding him fish), or this code won't work.  Later in the game,
once you have all the characters back (and the 2 secret characters), put Terra, Gogo, Locke, and Mog in your
group, and in that order.  Get them all at level 55, and then unequip all their weapons, armor, relics, and Espers.
Then, go to Cid and talk with him 55 times.  You will then get an item called Bacon.  Go bet it in the Colosseum.
You'll fight an enemy called the Infected Camel, and you'll get the WolfHead if you defeat it.  The WolfHead looks
like a Special Item on the menu screen (boomerangs, whips, etc.), but when it's equipped and used in battle, it
looks like the Illumina sword, except that it's thrown at the enemy. Only Locke, Mog, and Setzer can use this
strange weapon.  In status, it shows having 255 in all attributes(the WolfHead, not the character), except for
Battle Power, which it has 0 of.  However, when you go into battle and attack with this weapon, it will hit all
enemies on screen for 9,999 damage every time!

Final Fantasy Anthology Tips

Easy Ability Points in FF5
For easy ability points (say, 4-8 per battle!) go to the basement of Bal Castle in World 2. Here you'll encounter Statues in
groups of 2 (4 ability points) or 5 (8 ability points). However, you will most likely find yourself having difficulty with these stone
warriors. Using a Soft potion will kill them instantly! Just keep stocking up on Soft potions and master all those classes that
require hundreds of ability points!

Easy Kills in FF6
To instantly destroy almost any monster (including most bosses), simply cast Vanish on them, then use X-Zone. It will instantly
destroy all invisible enemies. Use Doom if there is only 1 enemy.

Easy Spell Learning in FF6
WORLD OF BALANCE
Fly to the Triangular Island after learning the Doom spell. You'll eventually come across an invisible sleeping enemy. Use Doom
on him. He might cast Meteo. Each victory you eek out nets you 10 magic points towards spell learning.
WORLD OF RUIN
Equip everyone with the Esper they are lacking in and fly them to the Miranda Desert. Each Hoover here gives you 5 Magic
Points, while each Cactuar nets you 10.

Easy experience points in FF5
In final fantasy 5, once you get the summon Bahamut, there is an incredibly good and easy way to get tons of experience points.
Youll notice that if you follow the mountain range south from North Mountain,(the place where you got Bahamut,) there is a
small patch of trees where you landed your black chocobo to get to the desert. Now that your there, simply walk up and down
in the area of the desert thats RIGHT next to the forest. There, you will encounter enemys, which you can EASILY kill with one
hit by using Bahamut. The enemys in that area can give you from 1200-1500 experience points! Just simply keep using Bahamut
first-thing in every battle, and once your summoner runs out of magic points, simply take your black chocobo, and fly a little
ways south to a town where you can use an Inn, and fully restore your HP and MP, and then simply go back to the desert and
repeat the process. *NOTE: This will only work in THE THIRD WORLD.. but once you get to the third world, this is easily
the best way to gain levels in the entire game!

Easy experience points in FF6
WORLD OF BALANCE
Before the Lete River quest, set your config on "memory". Next, go through Lete River to the part where if you go up, you
circle and come back to the same spot. Choose up and enter a battle. Have Edgar, Terra, and Sabin attack while Banon uses
"Health". If you set a turbo controller for this, you can leave it on all night.
WORLD OF RUIN
Equip Phantom and the Exp. Egg on one person, and have them fly to Doma Island. Immediately into a battle, cast Phantom.
Fight here. Each battle grants you 6000-11,000 EXP per victory. The Tumbleweeds have a spell that removes invisibility, so be
careful. After you get a person to level 80+ here, you should fly to the Dino Forest near the Veldt. The enemies here give you
lots more, but they have spells that remove your invisibility.

Economizer Relic in FF6
This relic is very useful as it reduces your magic cost to 1 point per spell! Here are three ways to get it:

1. Go to the Phoenix Cave with Locke in one of your parties. Steal from the Apuila (A bird creature) and you will get an
Economizer. Try several times because sometimes you'll just get Fenix Downs.

2. Go to the forest east of Gau's father's house. Sometimes a Brachiosaur appears. Fight it (VERY HARD) and sometimes it
drops an Economizer.

3. Go to the Coliseum and bet a Gem Box. If you win the battle you'll receive an Economizer.

Gain Levels Overnight in FF6
You need a turbo controller for this trick. On the Lete River, when you go in circles select fight, fight, health, and auto crossbow
using memory (config menu) if you do this correctly you can leave it sitting overnight and be at level 50 - 65 the next day.

NOTE: It probably isn't good for to leave your PSX on all night.

Get Edgar's Chainsaw in FF6
To get Edgar's chainsaw, In Zozo, there should be a clock in one of the buildings. The answer to the clock puzzle is 6 hours, 10
minutes, and 50 seconds.

Get Gogo and Umaro in FF6
GOGO - in the world of ruins go to the triangle island and fight a zone eater let it suck your party up and you can find Gogo.

UMARO - Go to Narshe in the world of ruins then go up to where the esper Tritoch is. Fight the esper and he will give you his
powers then a chunk of the mountain will fall down. If you enter the hole you will find a maze that leads to the Terrato esper,
some magicite, and Umaro. If you have Mog in your team he will join you.

Get Mog in FF6
To get Mog before the world of ruin go to narshe after you get your girl from ZoZo. (It should automatically send you there.)
Walk out of the elders house after she says she'll talk to the Espers. Then go to the house with all the treasures in it. (It's on the
east side of the town on the upper level.)

You will see Lone wolf stealing the tresure out of the locked chest. follow him out, he will lead you up to the Esper, he will
threaten to throw Mog off the edge the. Then the Esper will knock them both off, they will both be hanging on. If you save Lone
Wolf he will give you the gold hair pin that he got out of the chest, if you save Mog he will join your party.

Get the Exp. Egg in FF6
In Darill's Tomb(World of Ruin) you can find the exp. egg relic. It doubles the number of exp. points a character gets after a
battle. First, find the seemingly worthless room with four tombstones. On them will be carved four-letter phrases that make no
sense. Then find the room with the blank tomb-stone in the upper left area of the tomb. Go to the tombstone, it will ask you to
carve an inscription. The four nonsense phrases will appear. Carefully select each one in an order to where the phrases lined up
will say " The world is square". Then you will be told where to find the egg. In the third basement , a wall will have opened up to
the right of the trasure chest. Walk through the wall and get the egg.

Get the Genji Glove in FF6
You can get a Genji Glove when you are at the returners base for the first time when you go outside and talk to Bannon. When
he asks you to become the last ray of hope (or something or other) say no, he will send you inside. Go back out and say no
again, he will again send you back in - go out one more time and say no again he will send you inside and the injured soldier will
come in and you will get a Genji Glove instead of the Gauntlet.

Get the Mooglr Charm in FF6
Here's how to get the Moogle charm, possibly the best relic in the game.

When you first find mog, talk to him. he will join your group. after this happens, walk to the wall that was behind him, and press
search. (a) You will receive the charm. With this Item equipped, you cannot be attacked by invisible monsters.

Get the Paladin Shield in FF6
To earn the Paladin Shield, you must get the Cursed shield from an old man in Narsh after you get the Falcon Airship. Equip the
shield, and win 255 battles with it. That will break the curse...and thus, you will now have the Paladin Shield.

Once the shield becomes the Paladin shield you can complement it nicely by also equipping the ribbon. The character who has
both of these items will be impervious to every ailment except the count down timer.

Get the Rename Card in FF6
During the course of the game, you may find you don't like the names you have selected for your characters. Like if you named
Sabin after your former best friend and you want to change it. Go to the Colosseum and bet the Elixir. If you defeat Cactrot you
win the Rename Card. And if you don't like it, you can bet it for the mysterious Marvel Shoes, if you can beat the Doom
Dragon. Suggestion: Equip a strong character like Cyan with the Genji Glove and Offering to really clean up at the Colosseum!

Get the Second Memento Ring in FF6
Make your way to the second floor of Strago and Relm's house. In the left hand corner (the one with the tables and chairs) face
south and press A to gain another Memento ring.

Getting Shadow in the World of Ruin in FF6
If you can't seem to find Shadow anywhere after you leave him behind and the world blows up, it's because you can't - he's
dead. To avoid this, when the game asks if you want to wait for shadow (before the world of ruins blows up) choose to wait for
him. He'll arrive with 4 seconds left on the timer and your party will automatically book it out of there. You can then find him in
the cave where you usually find Relm. He'll be taken back to Relm's town but will soon leave. Go to the colosseum and put up
the weapon that you found in the Veldt cave. You will be able to fight him - defeat him and he's yours!

How to get the spell Ultima or the Ragonrok in FF6
First you have to get Locke back in the Phoenix Cave(2nd world). After that you must go to Narshe with Locke in your Party.
You go up to the weapon shop and Locke should unlock it. Find a way into the backroom and talk to the man. He will either
Give you the Esper stone with Ultima or he will give you the Ragonrok Sword. I prefer the Ragonrok because it does a critical
hit every time and takes away 9999. Or close to it. But you could Get the stone and that does a good 4000+ to every Enemy.

Kill the Ghost Train in FF6 easily
To easily kill the Ghost Train use a phoenix down on it.

Kill the Undead Easily
When in a battle against a ghost or undead enemy you can use a Revivify or Fenix Down from the items menu, and any life
magic. This will kill undead enemies in one shot.

Relic combos in FF6
1. Economiser and Gembox: Lets you cast two spells for 1 mp a piece. (Ultima twice kills most of the final statue parts)
2. Offering and Genji glove: attack eight times in one turn.
3. Offering and Thief glove on locke: He attacks and steals (mugs) 4 times.

Easy Ability Points in Final Fantasy V
For easy ability points (say, 4-8 per battle!) go to the basement of Bal
Castle in World 2. Here you'll encounter Statues in groups of 2 (4 ability
points) or 5 (8 ability points). However, you will most likely find yourself
having difficulty with these stone warriors. Using a Soft potion will kill them
instantly! Just keep stocking up on Soft potions and master all those
classes that require hundreds of ability points!
