believe, in reference to the Instant Strike Against The Computer, that this tactic will only work in rookie mode, but
I may be mistaken.  I do know that in all star mode it is practically impossible to waste a pitch.  It seems as though
no matter where you place it the computer will either swing or connect on virtually every pitch.  The game is extremely
easy, however, it is extremely difficult to keep an e.r.a. under 3.00 with any pitcher on all star.  Ofcourse, you really
don't need to, being that with the most mediocre team on the game you can't help but score at least 5,6, or 7 runs a
game against the best pitching.

I recently purchased this game and I have to say that I am amazed at all the real stances from Bagwell's low-down
squat to Frank Thomas' up & down knee motion to Fernando Vinia's laid back stiff and straight out front leg.  Also, the
intro is great w/ close ups of Ripken Jr. and Smolts to Garciaparra's bare-handed grab. Now about the game the announcers
are a little silly repeating the same thing batter after batter, it get to be a little redundant. But, the announcers will surprise
you w/ occasional cut-down of certain players who aren't doing so well in that perticular game. The whole game to me is as
realistic as they come. I mean come on have you ever played a video game w/ better double plays, diving catches, homerun
-robbing leaps over the fence, and home plate collisions? I think not.  I give MLB 2000 for the PSX a solid 9.9 on a scale of 10.

I can't find a camera that is behind the pitcher. The rest of the game was fine except the difficulty
level. It's just too easy.  It's hard to qualify for most of the awards in the playoffs
because you have to average 3.1 at bats per game with three
innings and other players that have about half as many homeruns.

All in all, it's a great game, but I have problems with having the behind the
plate only view.  I can't find any other views like behind the picther. Is there?

Just the best videogame of baseball on the psx platform
Big Heads
At the Start/Options menu, press R1 + X + R2 + Select simultaneously. A beep will confirm the code.

Bloopers Video
Turn on the game, but don't press any buttons. Let the game run all the way through the introduction and the demo half inning of
the game. After that, it will go back to the MLB2000 Logo and the bloopers video will start.

Clear the benches or fight
When you are pitching hit the batters until the announcer says "that could clear the benches real fast" then quickly press x three
times and it will clear the benches and a brawl will occur.

Easy Hits
To get a easy single or sometimes a double you turn average to power and then you hold down and swing and hit the ball
sharply to centerfield but sometimes you will ground into Double Plays.

Extra Out after Catching a Fly Ball
Catch a fly ball and throw it to 2nd base. Then, throw the ball back and forth between the 2nd baseman and the shortstop (just
keep pressing triangle). Eventually, one of the two players will throw it away into left center field. If you catch the ball with the
center fielder, the umpire will say out as when you normally get an out.

Heavy Hitter
In create player mode name your player Scott Murray or Kelly Flock. He will hit a 606 foot homeruns every time you connect
the ball into fair territory.

NOTE: This feature DOES NOT WORK in the Home Run Derby option.

Instant Strike Against Computer
This is not the easiest code to do, and takes some practice to perfectly do every time. Just choose a fast ball, set it in the lower
corner opposite the batter (if you have a right-handeder up for a batter, the set it in the lower-left corner), and make the ball just
barely touch the outside corner. The batter shouldn't swing, and the umpire should call it a strike. They will hit it sometimes, but
very rarely, and will sometimes ball. Please don't complain to me or GameSages or anyone because this is usually human error
or a really good batter. Like I said, this is hard to perfect.
